Feature Request - Due Dates for Sub-tasks in Microsoft TO DO
It would be really great if there were a way to have due dates for sub-tasks placed in Microsoft To Do. Right now, that is the thing keeping me with Asana. This is also what has prevented me from using the Microsoft Planner.
I find that I have one main task, but frequently have multiple sub-tasks to accomplish the one task. (Welcome to the wonderful world of HR management!) It is often impractical to create a brand new list for each task, so the ability to have due dates for sub tasks would be a great addition.
Thanks!

Kindly add due dates to all subtasks in order to avoid missing ANY part of the main project. This is very urgent in my eyes! Please consider this upgrade, it would help everyone tremendously. Also when a new list is created, the title is under the new list, but the list of items from the new list, don't come up in Outlook referencing the project "name". Could we change it so that the list of items shows up referencing the name of the title of the list. Otherwise I don't know what task belongs to what project when it shows up in Outlook. Thank you!
- farshadtabriziCopper ContributorPlease add this option , 90 % of the tasks we have are mini projects , and to plan them more accurately we need to assign task to them.
- KershakCopper ContributorI just logged on here to find this Feature Request being already close to three years old - how is this not implemented yet? =/
I'm trying to divide my individual tasks on a list into subtasks, so I can efficiently track progress and continuously on each of the open projects. As long as this option is not available, the only option would be to open a seperate list for every single project there is in order to be able to track progress - this would get out of hand pretty quickly tbh.- AHRIsdhrBrass ContributorKershak,
All I can think is that Microsoft does not actually use their products. The issue above is why our organization recently purchased an asana enterprise account; however, we are also using Teamflect, which "runs" off of Microsoft Teams. The effectiveness of Teamflect, a performance management software, is hindered by this type of issue.
- KLoveallCopper Contributor+1 for this feature. So hard to break down some of my to do lists that have many smaller tasks, all with different due dates.

This is an urgent feature if Microsoft Planner wants to be a true planning and cross-departmental project planning tool for organizations.
