Entire Task List Lost

Last week, I had been working most of the day, when my entire task list was suddenly lost. There is nothing. No completed tasks, no in progress, none of the recurring ones. Everything is gone, and this is going to really disrupt my work for... who knows how long. Is there any way to get them back?

I seem to be experiencing the same or at least a very similar issue? Really odd but one of my Task Lists has disappeared, though the tasks themselves may still be there. I'm actually not sure because I have hundreds of tasks and they aren't very organized... so not a catastrophic loss as I guess they weren't that important, but I was specifically looking for that list to review it and possibly add a new task to it and it's a bit disconcerting to have it just go poof like that.

I was having trouble logging into the web version so as suggested I tried clearing cookies, using a different browser, ensuring the browser was up-to-date and restarting it (all of which allowed me to log into the web app), then also looking in the desktop app (Mac), and phone app (Android), the web site, and even the Outlook deleted items.

Despite all of that the list itself doesn't appear to be anywhere; it's just vanished.

In case this is a bug; does anyone know the best way to report it?

Do nothing and just wait for few hours... my problem is fixed around 10 hours. think you will get back your list soon because it seems server issue in the Microsoft system and they are trying to fix quickly.

Be patient and you will get your list soon i think :)

Hello, I have faced with same issue today. I need all my lists back. I am trying to find a sloution as well. I hope Microsoft will help us but I could not find any contact to talk and explain to them.

As you can see in this discussion, the thing that helped us was deleting the cookies.

All my tasks, old and new are still available in https://to-do.office.com/tasks/.

They are also available in https://outlook.office.com/ if I log in through an incognito window.

That is weird, I can see them if I log in through an incognito window, too. They go back to when I started at this job in incognito, but only last month in a normal window.

So, I tried it in a different browser, and all the tasks are visible there, too.

So, I logged out from all Microsoft services and then deleted all the cookies and stuff. Then I logged in back and now all the old tasks are back, together with the new ones (that I created after the disappearance).

Somehow, they are now saved in my "to do" section. Maybe yours will be too?

I had stopped using To Do because of a similar issue, and I liked some of the added features of the planner. But I'm back to using it, just because my tasks are still there. I'm about to go back to a paper planner!

Indeed, thank you! That is inconvenient, but better than an irreversible loss!

For others: the "to do" section is situated in the right-side panel called "My Day" (I use the Web version). Click one of the buttons in the upper-right corner.
