Edit the title of a task right on the task list

Sometimes I want to edit the title of a task, when viewing it in the list of tasks, with all the other tasks. It would be convenient to edit the title right in that list (e.g. with F2 or with a double-click on the title). None of these seem to work. Instead I need to click on the task to open the task details pane, and only there I can edit the title. It is slightly inconvenient.
