Duplicated/Overdue tasks in ToDo

I am having a problem with the Microsoft To Do duplicating my tasks and not updating the reoccurring date to the correct date. It will remain "overdue" or will refresh the past completed tasks as over due. Or will update for a future date and duplicate the task multiple times. I feel like I may be experiencing "user error". What am I missing here? Has anyone else experienced this or have any solutions to fix?
