Alexa and To Do not syncing
- Apr 02, 2021
I just noticed I have the same issue. I was using the Wonder Do It skill. I found somewhere online that the I you can download the skill called Tasks in Hand instead. I tried this but it’s not working, I think because I have an office 365 business account and not a personal account. Let me know if any of you make any headway
DragonKing87 If you follow this discussion you will find that we have solved this issue with the alexa skill "Tasks in hand". It performs as we need it to.
We can add to our to-do lists, our shopping lists, and also remove items from both.
Add the skill and then reset both Microsoft to do and also Alexa apps.

- silverdrgiApr 25, 2021Copper ContributorI'm not saying that you have to narrow it down to 2 lists. I created over 15 lists using Wunderlist and these apparently hand been transported over to MS TODO when I made my initial conversion from Wunderlist. Since I added the updated skill "Tasks in hand" all of these list names were created automatically in Alexa groups of lists although they appear empty in Alexa. I can however add or delete to and from the MSTD lists from Alexa now.
If I want a new list I tell Alexa to add something to that new list and if doesn't exist she tells me and asks if I want to create it.
It is not perfect as I would have liked to have all my items imported back into Alexa's lists. I'm retired now and don't have the brainpower to rewrite these things myself like I used to.
I notice a slight delay in adding between the lists which on my desktop I can improve by a keyboard shortcut to refresh the list.- RONTO2600Apr 20, 2023Copper Contributor
OK! Here's what I am trying to recreate since we have lost Wonder Do It and seems is not yet (or ever be) possible with Task in Hand:
1) Bilaterally create/delete all Lists between Amazon Alexa and Microsoft To Do (i.e., create/delete list from either and the change is synchronized)2) Bilaterally add/delete/mark/unmark as completed Tasks for all Lists created in Step 1.
I have tried IFTTT with no luck, tempted to try to write my own Amazon Alexa Service to sync as described above.

DragonKing87 , I certainly understand that. I think the industry is at an interesting cross-roads. We need all of these vendors to interact with one another, and we will not be compromising.
In my opinion, MS should be working to make all of these IoT devices that take verbal commands, integrate with their products.
I moved over from Wunderlist to MS To Do because MS did a good job with the transition. BUT, all these apps have to integrate with voice, not the other way around.
I believe that Wonder Do It has been open sourced, maybe MS will pick it up?
