Add File Shortcut to Task

When I try to add a shortcut file to the Add Files section, it copies the target file to somewhere in the c:\Users\blah blah blah… I want a shortcut in the task to the actual target file in it's original folder location, not a copy.

Am I doing something wrong or is this an overlooked feature that needs to be addressed?
