SCOM - Dynamic Group

Hey there,

 

I've got 400+ monitored servers of which I am currently working on 31 that are related functionally. However, they are all have significantly different names. I want to create a dynamic group for these servers for alerting but there seems to be no existing attribute that they all have in common. Is there a way to insert a common field that can then be used for a dynamic group?

    Do they have something in common like AD Ou, computer properties, registry key etc. which You could use for rule?

      I've been looking into using the article and the others from Kevin Holman to do this - https://kevinholman.com/2016/12/04/extending-windows-computer-class-from-a-sql-cmdb-in-scom/
      Started down the road to using a .CSV for managing the info and it works quite well.
