Preview of first System Center semi-annual channel release now available

In June, we announced that System Center was moving to a faster release cadence with new semi-annual channel releases coming this year. At Ignite, I shared with you that the first public preview would be available in November. I’m excited to announce that you can now try the System Center preview, version 1711, to take advantage of the new features and updates across the System Center family.

  • Great news!
However, it doesn't really mention Orchestrator or Service Manager (except for the Azure ITSM connector).

Can you confirm if there are/are not any new features on those two products?
If Microsoft wanted feedback on those two, I could provide several pages of proposals.

      Hi Nikolaj,
In this 1711 preview, there are no new product features for SCSM or SCORCH, only the addition of TLS 1.2 and all bug fixes up to UR4.

You can find the release notes here:
      SCSM 1711

      SCORCH 1711

Wouldn't it be awesome if there was a UserVoice page to post all of the communities feature ideas to? hint hint Microsoft ;)

      Regards,

      Steve

        Haha, what I feared.
Not an impressive list of features ;-).

Yes, SCSM and SCO only has outdated Microsoft  Connect site.
Come on MS, create a user voice for SCSM and SCO.

But did you notice that in UR4 for Runbook Designer, it doesn't say 'SC Orchestrator 2016 Technical Preview 5' anymore?
        Hurray!
