Management Server in MG1 reporting as an Agent to MG2

Hi

 

We have a situation where a customer has set up their own SCOM infrastructure, and configured the Microsoft Monitoring Service on the Management Servers to report as an agent to our SCOM - using the Control Panel Applet.

 

Everything in me tells me this is highly irregular and unsupported, however I'm not able to find any document that describes the scenario and therefore whether or not it is a supported configuration.

 

NB! This is not a connected management group setup.

 

Any pointers would be welcome.

    Yes, the Control Panel Microsoft Monitoring Agent applet should be empty on Management Servers and not have anything configured. Having values in the Operations Manager tab of the Control Panel applet is not supported and should be avoided.
