The day I got to know around Sysinternals tools long back in 2007 while started working as Wintel engineer. I got a task assigned to cleanup c drive (system drive) space. Based on experience from other team mate got to know that .vsp files (Veritas backup files) on server 2003 operating system needs a server restart to remove them to cleanup system drive. Server restart needs to go through a change request which is a tedious task in those days. Thankfully got a walkthrough session on process explorer from one of my senior colleague (Nirmal Sharma (MVP)) around process explorer to identify open handle and was amazed that it allowed me to remove those .vsp file once killed that handle. This is where i started a new journey with Sysinternals Tool. 🙂 Now today again brushed up those old memories. :-).
