Interestingly, my app has started to work... probably down to some application-side "peculiarities".

As for Process Monitor and its display of UDP traffic, I'm writing this to include the info that Jamony has asked for. I needed to re-run my capture session, now with the app working, and with two responding nodes in the LAN. So there are a few more pakets. Still, the "UDP receive" seems to have consistently swapped src and dst IP addresses. I will include some relevant screenshots and a PML file.

The Process Monitor is version 4.04.

 

The procmon filter is pretty much at the installer default:

And... I'd love to add a PML file, I have one ready, but how do I include it here? The techcommunity GUI only takes image files with well-known extensions...
