Skype for business video conferencing

Hi all,

I am facing strange issue at my organization with skype for business video conferencing.

If two persons make a one to one video call, none of the user is able to start the video and preview circle keeps on rotating but once third person is invited then video of first two users starts appearing but third one still cant appear.

The video work fines for simple skype or any other video apps

When checked in settings of skype for business, the video starts. Camera driver is up to date. Versions of all the users are same for skype for business and window 10.

Pl suggest the solution...

  • Hi,

When the two first users are trying to have a video chat it is a peer-to-peer call and the clients will try to connect directly to each other. When you add the third user Skype will create a Skype meeting hosted at the server and all three clients will connect to the server instead. I would guess that it some firewall issue maybe?

Do you have the same problem for audio? Are you using Skype for Business server or Skype for Business Online (Office 365 hosted)?

    Thanks for your reply...
Audio have no issue in peer to peer or conferencing.
I will surely get firewall check for the setting. I would appreciate If u could tell me more about which setting of firewall should be tested for said purpose ?
