New Skype for Business on Mac (Insider) build is available!
Hi Richard - that option is no longer available, the setting has disappeared from the client preferences. See attached screenshot
Just did the Office Insider Fast update to 16.1.436 and it's still not available as a preference setting nor are single window chats enabled.

Brian, does your SFB deployment has server side conversation history enabled? One way to find out if this is fully enabled is to take a look at the SFB Mac log and look for "<property name="conversationHistory">Disabled</property>". Don't worry about the word "Disabled". This is the inband policy to tell the Mac client that the conversationHistory is available and give user option to enable it. If you find this string, you Mac client should have the UI option to have separate windows or not. If you don't find the string, that means that that server side conversation history is not yet properly enabled.

I'm not seeing that string, but we were pretty certain that is enabled. What attributes should we be checking in Skype for Business Online ?

I am also lacking that string in my logs, but I spoke with our Skype Engineers and we are 100% certain that it is in fact set up correctly in our environment.

Where would one find that particular log?

In SFB Mac, go to Preferences/General/Collect and archive logs. It will take a few minutes to take a snapshot of the logs and generate a zip file with title prefix "SfbMacLogs" in the Downloads folder. Open the zip file and use a text editor to open sfbmac.log.
In this particular scenario, I would suggest restarting SFB Mac first and then collect logs. Then you will have a smaller log file to scan.
