@Everyone who has responded about single window not being available - if you have SSCH enabled can you please go to Skype for Business menu | Preferences | General tab. Are you able to uncheck "Show conversations in seperate windows"? Unchecking this option actually enables single window.
My Skype for Business preferences does not even have that option available. I made sure that was part of the screenshot I submitted with the bug report. I have now tried this on a machine running Sierra as well as El Capitan with the same results.
