Automatic server detection not working: Unable to log in Skype Enterprise
Hello,
I'm participating this insider preview since it's availlable to the public in May.
For some unclear to me, when using the old Lync client we have to specify the server as "https://sipdir.online.lync.com:443" to be able to log.
During the first half of the Skype for Business Mac Insider Preview, I was able to use the same custom setting to log and use the beta application.
At some point, the interface of the beta app was completly redone, and now the setting is located behind the "advanced options" buton on the login screen. But since this version I'm not able to change the setting, because unchecking the "automatic server's detection" option disable the "save" button.
I did some investigation to check why the default server detection is not working for my company. The default https://lyncdiscover.agentil.com have a certificate issue: "Host name lyncdiscover.agentil.com doesn't match any name found on the server certificate CN=*.online.lync.com.". My IT department told me they have no control over this certificate.
Basically to be able to use the Skype for Business beta there is only two possibilities:
1) A future version allow the manual server setting to be saved.
2) Someone fix the certificate for https://lyncdiscover.agentil.com
Any advice?
Best regards,
Shiva Thomas, from Switzerland

I have the same problem. Seems there is no solution, yet.
