- Jul 01, 2021Hi there,
I am currently running Windows 11 on my workstation, and everything just works. You won't need to reinstall any of your applications, although, if you have any specialized applications, I would recommend that you check for any updates for that application after you upgrade to Win 11.
Usually, whenever I install an update, the first thing I do it to check for any updates in the Microsoft Store and Windows Update. Once this is done, I would check for any application updates.
Do remember to back everything up before updating in case you need to go back due to some application incompatibility.
Cheers!

- dakshintwalaJul 01, 2021Copper ContributorThanks Ayush, I just wanted to be sure because softwares I'm running takes a long time to get installed and I don't want to waste my time in it, at the same time I'm eager for win11.
- agpt8Jul 01, 2021Brass ContributorI understand how frustrating it would be to install all over again. But from what I have heard from many people and all the reviews and impressions from many reputable sources, you shouldn't face any issues during and after the upgrade.
A proper backup is essential and can save a lot of your time in case something goes bad. Since you have mission critical applications, I would suggest you create a full back up on as separate hard drive if you have any.
Do try and upgrade to Win11 (you are gonna like it 😉)
You can always file a feedback and file a new ticket in the Windows Community Hub if you face any issues.- dakshintwalaJul 01, 2021Copper ContributorHey, I have upgraded and everything is working fine as presumed without any software/data loss!!! I recommend everyone to try it... Thanks Ayush for ur support.
