Microsoft recommends the role-based certifications and has started to phase out the older MCSA and MCSD certifications. The newer and therefore recommended certifications are Exam AZ-204: Developing Solutions for Microsoft Azure (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/learn/certifications/exams/az-204) and Exam AZ-400: Designing and Implementing Microsoft DevOps Solutions (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/learn/certifications/exams/az-400)
If you are new to Azure the AZ-900 is a good starting point as well as https://microsoft.com/Learn
