Will Subscription Edition support Classic Mode
Hi. If we upgrade from 2013 to 2016, we can stay on Classic mode and gradually move to modern UI. But does SharePoint Server Subscription Edition (SPSE) support Classic mode? In other words, do we we have to upgrade to modern before we can move to SPSE?
- Great question - SharePoint Server Subscription Edition continues to support both classic UX and modern UX. This includes the classic Team Site template and the modern Team Site template. SharePoint Server Subscription Edition will default to the modern UX for lists and document libraries, even for sites based on the classic Team Site template. However, you can switch between classic UX and modern UX for lists and document libraries at any time.
