SharePoint SE - Distributed cache service is not enabled in this deployment.
Hi everyone, I have been struggling for a few weeks now with a Distributed Cache issue in my SharePoint farm. The service configuration seems completely out of sync between my two Web Front Ends (WF...

I'm having the same problem, but I've only got one WFE server. Thus, the Distributed Cache service is not running at all, and throws constant errors in the log. Like you, I had also re-named this server, and the "old" name is still embedded in hosts section of the ClusterConfig.xml file.
If I'm reading your solution properly, all I have to do is
- export the ClusterConfig file and correct the hosts section Name to reflect the New server name.
- Stop these four services
- - Stop-SPDistributedCacheServiceInstance -Graceful
- - Stop-Service "SPTimerV4"
- - Stop-Service "SPAdminV4"
- - Stop-SPCacheCluster
- Import the corrected version of the XML file
- Re-start the four services
- Synchronize the local server configuration with the database using the psconfig.exe command
- Add-SPDistributedCacheServiceInstance
- Check to see if the Distributed Cache is listening with 'netstat -ano | findstr "22233"'
- And finally run the Products Configuration Wizard
Honestly, after what I've trying, that sounds like a breeze.
Am I understanding you correctly?
