The “Card” column type in a Microsoft List doesn’t directly exist as a standard column type. However, let me clarify the concept for you: Card View: SharePoint Online provides a feature called “Card view” or “Compact list view”. This view allows you to display list items in a card-like format rather than the traditional tabular view. When you enable card view, each list item appears as a card with relevant details displayed in a visually appealing way. The card view is especially useful when you want to focus on key information and provide a more user-friendly experience. How to Use Card View: To use the card view in a SharePoint Online list: Navigate to your SharePoint Online site and open the desired list. In the top right corner, look for options related to different views. Click the ellipsis (three dots) on the right side. Choose “Compact list view” or “Card view” from the dropdown menu. SharePoint will display your list items in the card-like format, making it easier to scan and interact with the data1. Column Types in SharePoint Lists: While there isn’t a specific “Card” column type, SharePoint primarily uses standard column types such as single lines of text, numbers, choices, dates, and times. The card view enhances the presentation of these existing column types by organizing them into visually appealing cards.
