Update an Item from Search

I have a client who wants to add an button to the Search Hover Panel that will update a document library field for the document.   Basically click a button and mark for deletion... The adding the button is relatively easy, but not sure how to update the item.  For some reason I am not getting the List in values I can access.  I am getting the path and can parse out the Library if need be.

Any suggestions would be helpful.
