Unable to add SPFX web-part to main site

Hello All,

We have been working on developing a custom SPFX web-part for internal use. Everything used to work fine for a while. At some point in the last 2-3 weeks, things started behaving weird. The weirdness is as follows:

1. The self-signed certificates aren't working anymore from Unix (works fine with Windows, but we prefer Unix for development internally).

2. After updating to a new version of the web-part, it doesn't show up in the web-parts list anymore for the main site.

3. Strangely, the web-part shows up in all sub-sites and functions as expected.

While I know the first point seems unrelated, all these issues started together.

Any help or suggestions are appreciated.
