SPFx Webpart: Pass image from O365 CDN

I would like to pass an image that is in a SharePoint library that has been configured to be an O365 CDN endpoint into an SPFx extension (using the extension properties). Is there a way to do it so that the image URL gets rewritten to point to the CDN?
