spfx extension preview showing in yo

i was trying to inject js into a modern page.

i followed the article https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/dev/spfx/extensions/get-started/build-a-hello-world-extension to inject the js however i have observe a subtle difference showing preview in brackets. Could you please let me know if i need an upgrade.
