swagner what version of SharePoint are you using? One approach is to Business Connectivity Services, another is to use Flow with a Data Gateway and SQL Server connection, another is to use a tool like BCS MetaMan, https://lightningtools.com/download-a-data-integration-tool or https://www.layer2solutions.com/
