SharePoint Business Connectivity Services Licensing/Cost

Why does it seem like you need a degree in astrophysics to understand microsoft licensing costs and need... Rant Complete.

My ask is whether or not there is additional cost from Microsoft for BCS connections (I believe there is)? If so, where is that listed, what is that cost?
