SharePoint App has access to root site, but not to subsites

Strange, i have full control (and thus access) with my app to the main site of a sharepoint, but whenever i try to access a subsite, i get an Access Denied. Anyone has any ideas?

 

The application is written in PHP and uses the phpSPO-library: the App has a clientID and secret and the admin has "trust" the app with "full control"-xml.
