SharePoint 2013/16 Provider Hosted App with in SP Farm Server

Can we deploy SharePoint 2013/16 Provider Hosted App with in SP Farm Server instead of hosting out side (Azure or different SP Farm) of SP Farm ? Please correct me if my Question it’s self wrong but this Question arises in my mind after looking at one of extranet WSP solution
