Make a multiple value column show less values on Sharepoint

Hello,

I have a library of documents on SharePoint and I want to add a column containing multiple managed metadata values. Is it possible to store multiple values, but only show a few, like 1 or 3? Alternatively, is there a way to make a library column collapsible/expandable?
