docs.microsoft.com is an awesome website. Wish sharepoint allowed something similar.

https://docs.microsoft.com/ is a great website for documentation.  It has many tremendous and easy to use features such as...

  1. Automated TOC links created and corresponding Nav menu (left side) that spans all pages on the site.
  2. Automated intra-page navigation created as Nav menu (right side) based on common styles like Header1 or Header2
  3. Automatic Search with no effort
  4. Ability to export to PDF
  5. Standardized styling for headings, call out boxes
  6. Good image sizing and manipulation
  7. H1/H2 headings that show in Nav menu are direct linkable using “#Heading1” Url extensions.
  8. And many more...

I would be ecstatic is Sharepoint had a WYSIWYG editor that allowed for customers to create their own sites similar to docs.microsoft.com.

Since this doesn't exist...we are currently looking at Wiki.js which seems to be an excellent WYSIWYG editor for standard Markdown allowing for an easy to support docs.microsoft.com experience for anyone.

Anyone found away to do this more natively in Sharepoint?   Anyone aware of a roadmap to make such capability exist?

Like the wiki in Teams, the wiki in Sharepoint should maybe renamed weaki.  Both are incredible weak on features and capabilities.
