Change Core.ProfilePictureUploader To Use Modern Authentication

We are currently using https://github.com/SharePoint/PnP/tree/master/Samples/Core.ProfilePictureUploader for bulk profile picture imports, but when we turn on Modern Authentication it fails. I believe this is using SPO PowerShell. 

Is there work on this that Core.ProfilePictureUploader can be converted to use Modern Authentication assuming PnP?
