Center content on modern page in root sitecollection

Hi

 

I have used Mikael Svensons recipe to create a modern welcome page in SPO root site.

 

However the content is left aligned, instead of center aligned on the Modern Communications Site.

 

With F12 tool, I can see that in the Comminications Site, the CanvasZone DIV has class CanvasZone--centerAlign, and my root site does not.

 

Does anyone know of any way to fix that?

    We are getting the ability to convert the root site collection to a communication site template soon. It can be done via power shell when it releases. Until then we are kind of stuck with the regular page template.
