Apply Communication Site Experience to Root Site Availability?
- May 13, 2020
Arknev If you want to make the root site to communication site you might be already aware the option of Invoke-SPOSiteSwap which helps you to swap any communication site to be as your root site. But it's always your use which will decide this might work for you or not. If you current rot site has lot of contents and sub-sites it might not be replaced then that will be show stopper for you. Sorry for not focusing in to your question, as this is a feature yet to be released so we don't see much of documentation from MS yet. But this is from the road map i can get it seems might take some time.

Hopefully this helps. Mark the response appropriately if it helps.

Vikram_Samal Yes, you are right, I am aware of the site swap option. The current root site does have several sub-sites, and is using the publishing feature. Thus, I think we will have to take the swap approach. Thanks for the response.
