Sharepoint retention Label - files not being deleted

Hi.

I created a Retenion Label and its policy (as a test) to delte files in a spcific sharepoting folder 3 days after last moficied date.

after 6 days, the files are still in the same location and i can still edit them.

I was expecting the files will be delted from that folder after 3 days. Any ideas why it might not be working?

MVC_User what about for retention labels not working for over 2 months? Retention label is set to retain then auto-delete after 30 days. Thanks for your time.

Hi,
Just so you're aware, Retention Policies can take up to Seven Days to apply due to the time the engine runs in the background at the service-side. Furthermore, they can also take the same amount of time to process the deletion of data.
