Deprecated Power Apps controls seem to be still available

Any chance Microsoft has updated you?
I noticed I can no longer add the CC_AutoComplete control to new fields, but it is still showing on my other fields. I cannot find a suitable replacement for it yet.
Hind_ the last update I got was the isn't a replacement yet. This was in June. However I was reassured the controls weren't going as yet, its just not guaranteed to always work as it does now due to MS not supporting it anymore. Likelihood the control will sit there for a few more years.
They did say we could use PCF Library, however I'm hesitant to use due to having another area to monitor for changes and having to do manually when done.
