Office 2010 support is ending soon
Upgrade to Microsoft 365 to work anywhere from any device and continue to receive support.
Upgrade Now
LOL, I am sure Miriam meant the end of Office 2010 Support which is fast approaching in October 2020.
Upgrade to Microsoft 365 to work anywhere from any device and continue to receive support.
https://support.microsoft.com/hub/4095338/microsoft-lifecycle-policy and there will be no extension and no extended security updates. All of your Office 2010 apps will continue to function. However, you could expose yourself to serious and potentially harmful security risks.

Good Will coming from Microsoft. The final updates for Office 2010 should have appeared in May 2021. I imagine we will get no future updates. It is now high time to move towards a later Office Perpetual Version and/or go to Office/Microsoft 365 in the Cloud and see how well that works for you. If Office 2010 continues to be run on a Windows computer that is on-line then you have a vector point of infection that could cause Mal-Ware to run amok on Office 2010. Even worse that Mal-Ware has the potential to ruin other people's computer networks because a user was being unwise about using an older unsupported version of Microsoft Office. Finally, there is always the open source options of Open Office and Libre Office if you feel that finances are tight for you and your company and/or employer which includes governments.
I have made the decision to update to Office Professional 2016. Microsoft and Office 365 are useful tools as well but the support work I do requires perpetual versions of Microsoft Office and I applaud Microsoft for meeting our needs.
Sadly, Apple is now getting too big for its britches in a sense because of the open door(s) to scan for Child Porn coming soon. Yes, I applaud the importance of protecting children but not at the cost to the Defense, Safety and National Security of Cyber Command, DHS, DOD, the White House, et. all.
Apparently, other companies scan for bad stuff in images and docs and such and this is already a method that is accepted by High Level Security Professionals like Bruce S. This will now force the federal government to reevaluate the money, time and expense put into Apple products and demote them to a lower safety and security tier due to the Hubris of Apple. We are very excited in moving most of our remaining Windows 7 32/64 bit machines onto Windows 11 by the end of ESU support in January 2023. Some of these Enterprise and Professional Win 7 Machines will be taken off-line permanently with very controlled access since we will need to continue to use the machines in a safe off-line protected environment. We will also be acquiring new Windows 11 Machines from our safe and preferred vender(s) to help meet the safety and security environments of modern computing in a modern cyber world and Windows 11 will indeed help fit that bill along with other operating systems. Microsoft is aware we still have one major request to fix a software vulnerability that was introduced in Windows 8.x and continues through all versions of Windows 10. I will not talk about this vulnerability publicly except to say to Microsoft that we hope and pray you will address this vulnerability in the new upcoming Windows 11. Please reach out to d*h*s.gov - just remove the asterisks and you are good to go. Thank you Microsoft and We all Wish you the Greatest of Success with Windows 11.
