MSGraph retrieving teams channel messages too slow with user authentication

I am retrieving all channel messages from Teams, and I have found out that when doing so delegated by a user, with the Interactive provider, it is considerable slower than retrieving the same messages using a client credentials provider.

Why is that? Is there a way to improve the performance of the delegated user flow? The client credentials flow is not applicable to our use case, as it provides too much access.
