Create Excel file in Share point

Hello everyone, I have been trying to create an excel file using microsoft graph api and save to One drive and sharepoint for office365 users, it creates the file but each time i try to open the workbook, it keeps popping up a dialogue box saying this file can't be opened... is there anything i can do.
