Is the old Desktop Converter tools still supposed to work?

The old tool worked fine for me and it worked on my previous PC. I since updated my PC but the desktop converter tool no longer work using the same script??

No, the Desktop App Converter was deprecated in 2019.

If your app is under active development we recommend using the https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/msix/desktop/source-code-overview in Visual Studio.

If your app is not under active development we recommend using the https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/msix/packaging-tool/tool-overview or an https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/msix/partners product.
