Now in public preview: Fluent Emojis
Description
Microsoft is releasing the new Fluent Emojis update, refreshing 1800+ emojis. The new emojis bring a modern and delightful new version of the emojis we use every day. Whether for work, school, or life, the new emojis will bring the power of fun and play into every message or reaction!
Users will see a new take on most of the previous Teams emojis, along with some new picks! All skintone-enabled emojis will continue to have 6 skintone options.
These are the specific changes:
- Emojis in chat and channels messaging will update to the new Fluent style, along with delightful animations for applicable emojis
- Reactions in chat, channels, and live meeting reactions will update to the new Fluent style

- Jesse LiebergCopper ContributorI love them!

These emojis are horrendous. Myself and others I know think they are absolutely creepy. The old ones were fun. Not these.
- Bahram9800Copper ContributorThis is a very strange decision. Most of your users are in professional and corporate environments and these emojis are not appropriate. Give us the option to go back to the old set, or a new subtler set.
- jnewcomeCopper ContributorI also very much prefer the previous emojis over these new ones. My most frequently used ones are either missing or don't quite convey the same message as they did before.
- NaCoMoJoCopper ContributorIt would really be great if there were a set of emojis that didn't make us all look like we're chatting in primary school. I mean, these new ones are *terrible* -- cross eyed, just plain silly. We're required to use MS Teams and this makes everyone look bad. Please think through what you're doing.

@everyone: Please don't push for being able to change the emojis client-side, that will be even worse! When you use an old one, everyone else will actually see the new one typed by you and the whole thing will look even more inappropriate.
Better to have Microsoft offer the old ones alongside the new ones and let everyone choose which ones to send. Then they also don't have to throw the new ones away (which I am sure they paid a ridiculous amount of money for...)

Please consider reverting back to the old emojis! Surely you have received THOUSANDS of complaints about these new emojis. They are childish and unprofessional and ugly. The previous style and animations were much better and could be used in a professional setting. Thank you for considering this change and listening to your users!
- NT-DWCopper ContributorThese are objectively quite bad for all the reasons already stated, please make them optional as an org setting?
- rene_geizCopper ContributorI feel the skills an craft that went into the creation of these emojis. And if they weren't emojis but some other kind of fun, cute and quirky animated eyecandy I would really appreciate them. But they are emojis and supposed to be easy recognisable and readable. It's a shame that there isn't a official standard for emoji, because they differ on every platform. You chose to proritize stylistic expression over usability so heavyly, for me that's like you sadly missed the whole topic.

Where is the best place to provide feedback on the usability of these new emojis? The new emojis are not as accessible, especially for those with any amount of visual impairment.
