Now in public preview: Clicking on message result card will directly take users to the destination

Description

Currently, when users click on a message result card, they are shown a preview of 2 more messages around the message result, and users must click on the ‘Go to Message’ Button or the card title to land at the destination.

Current experience

In the new experience, the users are taken directly to the destination upon clicking anywhere on the message results card. The preview experience is opt-in with the ‘Chevron’ arrow to disclose the preview moving to the top-right section of the message result card:

How to enable

This feature does not need User or IT Admin’s intervention to be enabled.

Note 1: If you need information about enabling the public preview itself, see “Enable your Teams client for the public preview” below.

Note 2: User needs to be in Public Preview to be able to use this feature.

Enable your Teams client for the public preview

First, IT admins need to set an update policy that turns on Show preview features. Learn how at Public preview in Microsoft Teams - Microsoft Teams | Microsoft Docs.
