Download the latest Teams Preview Client

Does a machine-wide Teams client (MSI) exist for public preview or is it limited to the individual EXE?   The latest MSI installer I can find is 28779, but I want to test features from December.  ...

This method still works the best. I am hoping this changes with the "imminent release" of Teams 2.0 for Work & School accounts.

I stopped finding version numbers on WhatPulse because there are different build types and it's not the very latest version of Teams. There's a website where you can download them and it's much newer than the ones in WhatPulse.

 

  • https://github.com/ItzLevvie/MicrosoftTeams-msinternal/blob/master/defconfig has latest builds for the classic Teams (1.0).
  • https://github.com/ItzLevvie/MicrosoftTeams-msinternal/blob/master/defconfig2 has latest builds for the new Teams (2.0 and 2.1).

 

For example: The latest version for Teams on WhatPulse is currently at 1.6.00.6754 but the website hosted on GitHub has a newer version which is currently at 1.6.00.7762
