Feb 07, 2024VBricks to Stream (On SharePoint)
Hello everyone!!
I have a customer that asked an interesting question. They asked how they can take their existing videos from VBricks to Stream (On Sharepoint). Now I did review the documentation regarding migration tool, but I'm worried to provide that as a solution being that I couldn't find data stating it would work. I'm afraid that it may mess with their metadata and incur additional costs for storage.
I also looked into the Mover api for M365 in Azure but again it's not a proven solution.
In the end just looking for additional guidance and any use cases that anyone as run into.
I appreciate any insight into this matter! Thank you!!

raalvare - There isn't a specific way just for videos to migrate into Stream (on SharePoint). The best that is possible is to use existing tools to migrate files into M365. So you'd use the 1st party tools like Migration Manager or SharePoint Migration tool: Migrate to Microsoft 365 - Migrate to Microsoft 365 | Microsoft Learn or use some 3rd party migration solution like ShareGate ShareGate's migration tool - ShareGate (or others).
But this will just get the core video files into ODB/SPO, it wouldn't do anything specific with closed captions, thumbnails, etc. And those things don't have public APIs at this time.
