SharePoint chapters are no longer working
Hey guys. We are experiencing troubles with the chapter system in one drive SharePoint. For about 2 weeks now, chapters are not visible to users who open the video. This is an issue for everyone who open it through "Anyone with the link" permission and does not happen for members of the organization.
This is quite bad as we are really counting on sharing videos with members outside of the organization and the chapters are really needed for the work we are doing.
I hope to get some update on when we can expect the chapters to be working again.

The issue with chapters in SharePoint and OneDrive videos is unfortunately tied to how Microsoft currently handles them: they still work fine for people inside your organization, but they don’t show up for external viewers using an “Anyone with the link” share. This isn’t something you can fix with a setting, as it’s a limitation in the new Stream experience. The only real workarounds right now are to give external users guest access so they sign in and can see chapters, or to share a separate list of timestamps alongside the video if you need to keep it fully anonymous. It’s not perfect, but for the moment those are the only options until Microsoft enables chapter support for external viewers.
