Microsoft Steam (SharePoint) Time codes

Is there a way to add timecodes to comments in SharePoint stream? I am able to add timecodes in Microsoft Classic Stream but not SharePoint. In addition, the workaround of appending "&nav='playbackOptions':'startTimeInSeconds':60" to the end of my sharepoint video is not working. Any body having the same problem?

  • dthakar - Oops, sorry about that! I had a typo. The single quote should be double quotes. I just tested it and it works with double quotes, like this:

    &nav={"playbackOptions":{"startTimeInSeconds":60}}

    I'll update the help doc to correct my mistake.

      Marc Mroz have you tried adding chapters which appears to do the same thing as the old comments :). Stop anywhere on the video, click 'add chapter' then drop in a note - the timecode is stamped automatically.

        Not sure this provides the same user experience. It would be good to attach comments to o timecodes, so that a threaded discussion could occur around that comment (think Loom.com). With chapters, you've got to then reference your comment back to the chapter.
