Autoplay Blues

Hell there, 

 

I am having trouble with auto play *off* working reliably for videos hosted on Stream and embedded into a SharePoint page or other media using the embed code. There are times when I have auto play toggled off and copy/paste the embed code, and the video still auto plays.

 

I am also wondering if anyone knows how to disable auto play for an animated .gif, where I am also getting the embed code from a SharePoint document library. In that instance, there is no auto play toggle.

    I'm also struggling with this issue. Embedding multiple videos on a single page has turned into a nightmare because they all like to play at once.

    Hi, I confirm the described autoplay behaviour with Stream videos embedded elsewhere.
    I double checked the URL parameters in the embed code. I am using this "embed" parameter which means "Show Title on": 'embed={"ust":true}'.

    The option "Autoplay on" is definitively not activated but the browser still autoplays the video when the page is opened.

    I did also double check the Edge browser settings:
    Site permissions / Media autoplay is set to "Block".
