✨ New Stream web app player page released to WW
Yesterday we finished deploying the new Stream web app player page to 100% of worldwide (GCC coming soon)!
Screenshot of Stream web app player page with chapters open on the side and title and description of video under the video player.
Here is what it means...
How do users get to this new Stream player page?
All clicks to open a video stored in SharePoint and OneDrive will load this new Stream experience (share links, search results, office.com, web parts, etc). However, if you click to open a video from the file list view in OneDrive or SharePoint library that will still go to the previous preview experience inside ODB/SPO. In that case there will be a "Open" button on the upper left to open the video into Stream to get the new player page experience there too.
What's new about this experience?
- Dedicated playback experience
- Chapters, transcripts, or comments pane will be open by default depending on which has information
- Title and description of video show up under the video, giving context about the video
- Description is rich text so you can add formatting and hyperlinks
- Share link at time code to link someone to a specific part of the video

- Adil1982Copper ContributorThis is really great, but please add the ability to link a comment back to a timecode!

On our radar and backlog but we haven't started on it.- 365mo1205Copper Contributor
When I tried to use it, I noticed that I can't delete the video on the stream player. We have to navigate to OneDrive/SPO and delete it, are there any plans to make videos deletable from the stream web player in the future?
