Use of SMTP - Basic Authentication deprecation
Hi,
Currently, we are using smtp in our application to send email with current settings
Device or Application setting Value
| Server/smart host | smtp.office365.com |
| Port | Port 587 (recommended) or port 25 |
| TLS/StartTLS | Enabled |
| Username/email address and password | Enter the sign-in credentials of the hosted mailbox being used |
I was just wondering if we can still use it even if after the "Deprecation of Basic authentication in Exchange Online" on October 1, 2022 or we should be using oAuth already?
Thanks 🙂

- DMVFR800Copper ContributorYou will still be able to use it. Microsoft has backed down on their threat to turn it off on Oct 1st. Basically, Microsoft will be proactively monitoring and if they see you aren't using basic authentication, they will disable it. But if they see that you're using it, they won't.
