There is an error in the GitHub Foundations course
I started going through the GitHub Foundations Microsoft Learn course a few weeks ago. I got to Module 7, "Communicate effectively on GitHub using Markdown". I was in Unit 3, "Communicate using Markdown", when the instructions told me to go to a tab on the page named, "File changed".
There is no tab on that page named "File changed".
It's been a week trying to find out what the answer is to my problem. Please, help me to continue doing this course!!!
- I am not Microsoft and this is not a support forum.
I was directing you to a place why you might get an answer.
The Learn course is about using GitHub so to perform exercises, it is clearly sensible to actually go to GitHub to do them.
At the bottom of the repo where you perform the exercise is says
Get help: Post in our discussion board https://github.com/orgs/skills/discussions/categories/communicate-using-markdown. That is the correct place to seek answers to issues..
- Julian_SharpLearn ExpertAs the labs are in GitHub repos not in Learn, I would look in GitHub first.
Someone has had the same issue
https://github.com/orgs/skills/discussions/635- Rod-FIron ContributorI don't get that at all. The course is on Microsoft Learn: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/collections/o1njfe825p602p
Since the course is on Microsoft Learn, then I presume they are aware of, and helped create any repository they use on GitHub. Therefore, it doesn't follow that I should only go to GitHub seeking help. Or that it should necessarily occur to me that I must go to GitHub seeking help. If this course is strictly and only on GitHub, then why in heck does it start here on Microsoft Learn??????? That is EXTREMELY CONFUSING TO ME!!!!!!!
Microsoft, if you chose to start a course here, but then absolve yourself of any and all assistance to people trying to learn how to use what only exists on GitHub, PLEASE REMOVE IT FROM MICROSOFT LEARN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!- Rod-FIron ContributorOh, this is hilarious!!!! Julian, you posted a link to the question I POSTED ON GITHUB!!!!!!! That is MY POST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As you can see, no one has answered it there, too.
