The true fix for missing Windows 11 Store App.
2. Open settings.
3. Click on General settings tab (left second tab on list)
4. In upper right of screen (window) there will be a list of system bundles that are missing (I had three) click install on all of them. When installed it’s done close app.
5. Open Windows settings and go to Apps tab, then Apps and features (very top) scroll down list your welcome Store is back. Go set a restore point cause who knows what a windows update will do next.

Stumbled upon the missing bundles for the store app that Xbox app needs and just could not believe it. I mean I had no store for years and everything devs said to do did absolutely nothing but waste my days. I could not believe it so had to post it. Surprised they didn’t delete my account to cover their incompetence lol.
In my case, I didnt even HAVE xbox app, however, through another forum post I found it here.

If you lost the store and xbox app for whatever reason, you can reinstall the xbox app directly which should then move you to this solution which forces the store app.
OMG, this actually fixed a host of issues I've been having after the Windows 11 upgrade, including the basic Windows apps. I've spent months trying online fixes as well as my own ideas. This fixed EVERYTHING!
I read documention in, I believe, Windows 10 that if you disabled Xbox it would cause other apps to fail or disappear... the jerks at Microsoft made it so app features failed without Xbox being active... I'm probably stating that poorly. I will have to find that old documentation and post it.Thank you dre76fixitproper, this was genius. The parallel between Xbox and app failures forces users to have the Xbox app installed.
- I’m gonna say with Xbox being location of more than likely the brighter minds at Microsoft they are just more on the ball because well they have to be or they will be left in the dust by competitor Sony and PlayStation. Windows at its price really has no competition so there isn’t a push to make it foolproof obviously.
You're A LIFESAVER!!! I had uninstalled the Xbox app since I wasn't a gamer so I had to re-download it via a link provided by someone here in the feed (Thanks pal!!). And yep, the Xbox app fixed it. It is a shame that something so critical to the Operating system isn't easily fixable within windows but has to jump through loops.
dre76fixitproper But I can't even do step 1 because I don't have the xbox app. To get it, you need the microsoft store app.
- You get get it the Xbox app direct download from Xbox.com and don’t need worry about it being removed along with Store App. Why Microsoft hasn’t just creator a store app download after ten years of this problem annoying the hell out of people I just don’t get it. Stop updating windows I guess is only way to not have this happen.

- Thanks so much. I was starting to get really confused after I reinstalled Windows and it didn't fix it.
I had lost the whole app, not trace of it, I just performed the below and the app came back:
Reset the Microsoft Store cache.
Press the Windows Logo Key + R to open the Run dialog box, type wsreset.exe -i and then select OK
- My xbox app says its installing, and has been for an hour, it doesnt seem to be doing anything
